Voting and Language Accessibility Advisory Committee VAAC/LAAC

On August 22, 2014, the California Secretary of State published the California Secretary of State’s Guide to Creating a Local Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC) providing guidance to counties on the formation of local VAAC committees.

The VAAC/LAAC encourages citizen participation and provides valuable information to the Registration & Elections Division on county-wide voting and language accessibility matters affecting seniors and individuals with disabilities. VAAC/LAAC members will  provide key input into our elections process.

Below you will find copies of the California Secretary of State’s Guide to Creating a Local Voting Accessibility Advisory Committee (VAAC), a VAAC/LAAC Application Form, VAAC/LAAC Meeting Agendas, Meeting Minutes, and a link to the Secretary of State's website with information on Language Accessibility Advisory Committees.
